This summer a new institution is going to join Poznan Heritage Centre’s family and Poznań is going to gain a new tourist attraction.
A new, modern, multimedia exhibition – the Enigma Cipher Centre –will open in the building of Collegium Martineum located in the city centre. It will tell the story of the breaking of the German cipher machine Enigma by Marian Rejewski, Henryk Zygalski and Józef Różycki – Polish cryptologists and graduates of the University of Poznań. Our new exhibition will not only help visitors discover the history of ciphers, but also encourage them to take up the challenge and try to crack some of the codesthemselves. We will also demonstrate how the work of the cryptologists contributed to the development of computer science and led to the digital revolution.
